🇹🇿 Zanzibar South and Central

Tony visited this coastal town, which was an important site to raise the support of revolution for equal rights. A family cooked a meal for him. Coconut rice, freshly caught tasi fish, simmer with garlic and lime, topped with umngqusho (a fresh salad of chopped tomato, eggplant, cucumber, potato), and another fish which is a type of mackeral, marinated in lime and garlic and fried. Served with various breads, cassava, and rice.

Street foods galore! Tony had octopus and masala lobster with chili mango, grilled on a skewer. He also had Zanzibar pizza (beef, tomato, onion, cheese, egg, and mayo rolled up in a dough and fried)
