🇭🇹 Port-au-Prince

This area on the edge of Port-au-Prince has a market with a lot of street food available. Laloo (a leafy green veggie with bits of crab, okra, and peppers), rice & beans, pork & chicken in Creole sauce with picklese (a spicy slaw).

In the relatively affluent area of Haiti, which was less damaged by the earthquake, Tony ate Creole food with some locals. 

Tony visited artists making art in the Tent City, as well as a mass grave that was created after the earthquake. He also met up with actor Sean Penn, who is doing humanitarian work while living in a tent there. They ate chicken pies filled with spicy chicken, picklese, and tomato and deep fried.

Tony stayed here for a week while visiting Haiti and said it seemed like a spooky fairy tale. He had a rum punch at the hotel bar. He also spoke with the owner of the hotel and they shared some fried shrimp fritters and conch in Creole sauce later in the episode
