After their shoot was canceled when authorities did not want them filming street racing, Tony and his driver and friends went to a hamburger stand on the street for burgers and hot dogs.

Cassava and plantain cooked slowly in banana leaves with marinated beef with garlic, onions, tomato, and bitter orange, layered with green onions and red peppers.

Run by a woman who has cooked for nearly every important political figure. No longer open to the public. Some dishes include: Carne de Monte (iguana) and bull nuts.

Tony called this place El Vaquero. A soured milk yogurt drink is supposed to be a hangover cure. Nacatamales is corn masa inside plantain leaves filled with pork, tomato, and herbs. Tony said it was the best meal he ate so far in the trip.

Tony met with a journalist here where Congress meets.

"The highest lookout point in Managua, it was once home to former dictator Somoza's palace and personal prison grounds. A notorious site for political prisoners."

Home for "churaqueros," this is a trash dump that over 300 families live on (picking through the waste for recyclables). Tony was really disturbed by going there.
